Crawfish Fly-In 2026

The CloudDancer Scholarship’s biggest spring event is back — and this year it’s going even bigger. Vintage warbirds, fresh crawfish by a Yellowstone star, helicopter tours over Fort Worth, and a P-51 homecoming — all on the ramp at Meacham Field.
This year’s crawfish will be expertly prepared by none other than Gabriel “Gator” Guilbeau of the Yellowstone series. Expect bold Louisiana flavor, piled high and served hot — just the way a proper boil should be. Not a crawfish fan? No problem — there will also be hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, and cold drinks for the whole family.
Helicopter Tours Over Fort Worth
New for 2026 — Fort Worth Helicopters will be offering helicopter tours during the event from 10 AM to 4 PM. Guests can take to the skies and see the city’s most iconic landmarks from above — the Historic Stockyards, Downtown Fort Worth, the Botanic Garden, Dickies Arena, TCU, and the Fort Worth Zoo. Walk-ins are welcome, and online booking is available at fortworthhelicopters.com.
A P-51 Is Coming Home
CloudDancer founder Joe Johnson is flying his Stewart P-51 Replica from Louisiana to Texas for the event — bringing modern warbird performance back where she belongs. Come see the mission in action on the ramp at Meacham Field.
Vintage Aircraft, Fly-In, and More
Watch vintage airplanes arrive throughout the day and explore the museum’s incredible collection up close — admission is free. Beyond the planes and food, there will be bounce houses for the kids, a raffle featuring 50 gallons of aviation fuel and free ground school from US Aviation Academy, and flight schools on-site offering information about training and introductory flights.
